Government Advertising Blitz - Smart Meters declared "Safe"
Fri, 09 Mar 2012 12:00 am By adminThe Victorian government, in an advertising campaign, has declared smart meters are safe, compulsory, and subsidies will be in place for in-home monitoring devices. Power distribution companies are also leading the aggresive push. It is an about-face, when in 2009, electricity companies 'shunned smart meters', where they refused to deal with a customer who had one installed for a trial but wanted to change his electricity retailer.
