I am more than capable to read the meter when it is due and phone in the usage. Also, do we not pay a "service fee already"? We have an inalienable right to reject any product that we deem it to be unacceptable. No Government agency can impose "civic conscription" - refer The Constitution (Commonwealth), Sect 51 Part 22iii(A). Elected representatives are so void of constitutional knowledge and appropriately forget that it is because of The Constitution we have elections and their first obligation is to the Will of the People. Is Australia a democracy or a dictatorship country? Mon, 18 Nov 2013 02:57 pm

It is wrong to impose a fee for non-insrtallatinm greater then the alleged savings past onto the consumer for having a smart meter and not having to send a meter reader. By my estimates, with 2.5 million meters and around 300 personnel and at 15 mins per meter reading its only costing 20-25 dollars per year to read my meter. I assume that distributors have told every cumsytome that their billls will go down by $150 per year as they dont have to have their meters read? WHat utter rubbihs we are being asked to swallow.
