Consumers not receiving bills after Smart Meter installed
Wed, 06 Apr 2011 12:00 am By adminWidespread resports of people calling 3AW's Mitchell programme tell of how electricity customers are not receiving bills for several billing periods due to the electricity distributors (e.g. Jemena) not supplying the meter readings to the retailers (e.g. TRU Energy). Customers are ringing up asking for their bill, only to be issued with a very large combined bill with very little time to pay.
The distribution companies have not supplied some meter readings to their retailer due to the smart meter rollout. Although customers have seen their meter being read, they still needed to contact their retailer to find out why their bill had not arrived.
